So What Came After The Ethiopian Eunuch, Philip....

#BibleStudyTime. Let's get to it. So. When I woke up, I was thinking about #Teleportation or #InstantTransmission. The biblical version that is, and what it was that possibly pushed Jesus to allow #Philip to experience it.

You know, forget TSA, forget physics (telling us "No"), flight clearances, training, motion sickness, even the act of putting your fingertips to your head (Like #Goku up there), all that jazz, and get straight to the destination via Holy Ghost power on overdrive. Let's first work with what scripture does tell us, right here:

^"26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. ²⁷ And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, ²⁸ Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet." - Acts 8:26-28 KJV


Now one of the things that stands out in this passage the most is the word "worship".

^{Why? Because what was the Ethiopian Eunuch doing in Jerusalem in the first place? He came to Jerusalem to worship, and according to the 28th verse of scripture he was RETURNING from this Worship trip (Wonder what that worship service was like....) and reading about Esaias.}

Now personally, even now I can get confused when the subject of Esaias the prophet comes up and I have the Holy Ghost and am Baptized in Jesus Name according to #Acts238 as required in today's #ChurchAge. So I can only imagine how confusing it was for this #EunuchDude as he is getting ready to go back, to all his non-believing Ethiopian country men and women, and back to his regular job. Which is probably the reason why he is Eunuch in the first place..... At least that is what I concluded after reading the Google definition of "Eunuch". #YouCanGoogleItYourself

^{So! As #EunuchDude is seeking to know and understand the truth #Earnestly, Jesus sends Philip via a message through an #Angel. Philip, someone who is going to cut through all the craziness of the situation, and do this:}

"4 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus." - Acts 8-34-35

See, me and Philip would have got along GREAT. Cut to chase. #EunuchDude, you need Jesus, and He sent me here to get the truth through to YOU. Thankfully, it didn't take all day apparently. Because next verse goes:

"³⁶ And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?" - Acts 8:36 KJV

So they are going on their way and boom there is water. Now, it's #EunuchDude that asks the question about what would hinder him from being baptized since he saw water. Ever thought about what would have happened if Jesus hadn't just blessed there to be some water on their way?

Scripture doesn't state that it was like a named river or anything like it does most times. So it could have just appeared for the moment (Because remember, they are in ".... Gaza, which is desert."). Either way, the water was there, this is certain, and #EunuchDude saw it. 

 This is where it gets really important to me. Because scripture states:

"³⁸ And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. ³⁹ And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. " - Acts 8: 38-39 KJV 

^{You see it's at the point where scripture states "the Lord caught away Philip" that I go and do a double take. Because, how did this #CaughtAway thing work? Now, for those who are not #Geeks, #Nerds, or #Gamers, I might lose you.}

I have an active imagination, especially when it comes to scripture interpretation. So when I read #CaughtAway, not only do I think of things like #StarTrek teleportation and #DBZ instant transmission. I'm also thinking about stuff like the #KingdomHearts2 opening and hear #UtadaHikaru singing about #AngelsInFlight. Video Illustration:

What was this travel like through #time and #space? Did all of Philip's memories stay intact of like where he just was and what he was just doing? Did it feel like a dream? And why did #EunuchDude not ask more questions? Because he was too busy #Rejoicing. #WorshipForTheWin Gosh, talk about #PreachingJesus taking you places. Because scripture states:
 
^"40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea." - Acts 8:40 KJV

Who found Philip? Where did they know where to start? What was in Azotus that required Philip to be teleported out without time to even explain to #EunuchDude? Did he have pockets and was anything in those pockets that got teleported WITH Philip? This is important too... Just think about it for moment... Either way internally I'm going:

If I ever figure out the combo to be allowed to carry out this very real, scripture backed feat, you betcha I'm doing it and not asking anyone anything.... You'll just find me at the next location...
